Artists Seeking Representation:
We are always on the look out for new makers, artists and craftspeople.
If you feel your work would sit well in the Down To Earth Gallery and would like to make an application for representation in the future please provide the following information by post or via email:
If you wish to contact us about your work then please follow these guidelines
• British: You must be a British maker/artist as we promote British crafts
• More about you: It is always good to receive an artist statement explaining about your inspirations and techniques, materials and processes used in the work.
• Images: If you have a catalogue or website that we can view, please let us know. Otherwise, send images of your work on a CD or via our contact page. Please include a self-addressed envelope if you wish images to be returned to you.
• Prices: It is important for you to include artist/trade prices, as it is a useful guide for us as to final price. In some cases, it is useful to include a recommended retail price, particularly if you exhibit elsewhere in the UK. It is helpful if you can let us know if you are happy to exhibit work on a sale or return basis.
• Dimensions: This is particularly useful for paintings and sculptures so that we can gauge sizes
All work is taken on a Sale or Return basis.
All of our designer/makers are selected because of their individuality and skills and we are proud to showcase their work. It may be that your work is not suitable for certain exhibitions but may be suitable later. For this reason, we may not contact you straight away and we keep a resource of makers on file for future shows. Ultimately, we know our customers and are aware of what is likely to sell so if we say no; it often means that we do not feel the work is right for us.
The Down To Earth Gallery is independently run and artist friendly. We remain in regular contact with our makers and pay promptly. We look forward to hearing from you.
Many Thanks
Bridget and Phil Rogers
